I Dream of Headboards

You know how there are certain decor items you have always wanted.  You always look for them in catalogues.  You picture them in your space and heaven forbid you see them in a friends house because that leads to nothing but pure jealousy.  Well that item for me is an upholstered headboard.  You know, the beautiful natural colored shaped headboards with the wonderful border of brass tacks.  Ahhhh...it dances in my head even now.

So this is on my someday list.  But until I get my someday bed there are easy ways to make a simplified version of an upholstered headboard.  I have not taken on this project yet myself but I am planning on doing it very soon in my mom's new condo.  I plan to follow the instructions from the great Sherry and John at Young House Love.  Here is a shot of the headboard they made for their guest room.

But in the mean time here are a few more shots of the headboards that dance in my head as I fall asleep at night.  Wow...that is a little sad!







The final two are actually from  West Elm and not to pricey.  Maybe my dream is closer then I thought!
