Change of Heart...and Color!

I often feel like the very moment I declare something to you, my lovely Mission Decorate Readers, I completely change my mind!  Well, it has happened again.  Just days ago (8 to be exact) I shared with you my plan to modify an armour to use as mudroom storage.  Remember this?  Maybe within hours of that post I was Pinterested.  Is that a verb?  It should be!  You know cruising Pinterest and something grabs you and you just can't get it out of your head.  Well that is exactly what happened when I saw these two pics...

So today a quick run to my favorite ACE Hardware resulted in this

I just finished the first coat and I'm loving it.  One more coat during nap time tomorrow and it will be done.  (My daughter's nap time.  No I do not nap and paint at the same time, but wouldn't that be great if I could!)  Next step is to swing by my favorite local food coop who confirmed over the phone that they have a few wood produce crates I am welcome to take off their hands.  I was warned that they are a little "splintery" so if they don't work then I'll be placing an order at HomeDepot.com for some of these babies...



...and then we keep our fingers crossed that my husband loves the purple & wooden crate shoe wall as much as I do.  Some days I question his sanity for putting up with my total lack of any!
