Saying Thanks

As we all know this week is about saying Thanks.  Thanks for family, friends and those that have filled our lives with love.  But there is one person we so often forget and that is ourselves.

Once this week is gone we will quickly move into Christmas mode; shopping, decorating, baking, enjoying parties.  And before we know it New Years will be here and we will be setting new goals for 2013.  So here is what I am thinking, before we are overtaken by busy we should all take a few moments to make a Great Job List.

Sit down in a quiet spot with a piece of paper and pen and make a list.  Make a list of all the things you have done well this past year.  Recognize the things you set out to accomplish and did, as well as the things that fell into place but where equally great.  Star the items that you hope to continue in the new year.  And once your list is complete give yourself a big pat on the back and say thanks for the hard work, dedication and love you put in day in and day out.

And then frame your list and put it in a spot that is just for you.  Maybe in your work space, in your closet or the laundry room.  So whenever you see it you will be reminded of what you can accomplish and what you are great at.  As well as give you a push to do more, try something new and to be you!
