Whoa Is Me

I have a love / hate relationship with my glue gun.  I love it because I use it all the time.  It is actually the one thing in my craft room I use the most.  So why do I hate it?  Well it pains me to say...actually no it just pains me literally.  I burn myself every time I use it!

But aside from the hatred it is an absolutely essential tool to anyone who crafts even a little.  So that is why you will all understand the tragedy that struck late Sunday night.  But let me start from the beginning.

My daughter is let's say 6/10th of the way potty trained.  She has #1 down.  The other stuff gets a little more dicey.  But that 6/10th means that we no longer need the diaper changing pad on top of her dresser.  Which in turn means I have a space to fill!  So I am putting together a few crafty projects to fill this now empty space.

So Sunday I was working on one such project - covering letters in fabric when something happened.  I ran out of hot glue!  What?!?!?  I thought I bought a 1 million pack of glue!!!  How could I be out???  Just look at where this catastrophe left me...

Oh that poor little "a".  What did it ever do to deserve this?  And with work and my husband and daughter starting school this week I just don't know when I can get out to get more.  Seriously people, we are talking serious stuff here!  But all you can do when a challenge presents itself is keep calm and carry on so if you need me I will be taking deep soothing breaths until the hot glue mystery is solved...those mangy kids!

Side Note: If this is your first time reading MD and you took any of this seriously I apologize...I'm just messing with you!
